For the first time in history, we can transact and communicate with people from anywhere in the world completely anonymously and instantly. This is a huge step forward for business and value creators. Think about it: say I was growing some food in my back garden. I wouldn’t be able to sell this food on the street without getting fined for not complying with government regulations. However, now I’m able to produce this food and sell it to anyone in the local area—or anywhere around the world—without paying tax on it either.

Anonymous communication and transactions massively lower the barrier to entry for real-life value creation. They completely do away with red tape.

I can start any business that would typically involve filing paperwork or becoming certified in some way. Naturally, customers will have to use their own judgment to decide whether I’m a trustworthy vendor—but that’s how it would work in nature anyway. Also, who’s to say that someone who is “certified” is actually safe to deal with? People who drive cars are “certified,” and they crash every second of every day.
